I just discovered this neat little site for learning Perl:
It offers a clean interface to various FAQs, HowTo’s and Tutorials for both Perl programmers starting out, as well as some more advanced topics. The site is run by the Australian Open Source Development company Unisolve. They aim to create and “easy place to find complete, working examples of good perl code”. The site is still young, and has a lot of room to grow, but it has an excellent groundwork for becoming one of the big players on the net for Perl documentation.
I’d love to see perlmeme open an invitation to the greater Perl community to submit FAQs, HowTo’s and Tutorials. Quality can be an issue when it comes to user generated content, and it is clear that quality of the articles is very important to the people behind the site. The team has excellent editing and writing skills, and could grow the site quickly by acting as a moderator and editor for the Perl community who would like to contribute to this valuable knowledge base.
Good work perlmeme, I’m looking forward to seeing what your site grows into!
